Fundraisers are held each to raise funds for the Peony Festival Weekend. Here were two held in 2013:

Quarter Auction (Completed Feb. 26, 2013)

Would you like to go to dinner and a movie for 50 cents?  What about half a tank of gas for the same price?  These and other great deals are possible when you attend the Quarter Auction on Feb. 26, from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Van Wert Fairgrounds Administration Building.
The Peony Festival Committee would like to invite you to attend this "fun raiser" to support the Peony Festival and Parade.  For just $3 for a paddle, you and your friends can come in out of the cold to enjoy a good time, snacks and the opportunity to win some great auction prizes.
Update:  The quarter auction was held and the end result was - a great success!  An early report from the money-keeper states a minimum
of $900 was raised!  The weather was a bit nasty on auction evening with high wind, snow and slush mix, and cold.  Attendance
was still good but certainly kept many potential attendees home.  A big Peony Festival thank-you is extended to all the wonderful
volunteers who operated this fundraiser for the Peony Festival.  The sponsors and donors who made the Quarter Auction happen
are recognized on the Sponsors & Partners tab.  Click here to go to the Sponsors tab.

Orchard Tree Restaurant Fundraiser (Completed March 19, 2013)
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Orchard Tree Restaurant, Van Wert, a special fundraiser was held with 15% of the day's receipts being donated to the Peony Festival. Local support was very good even with a strong, very cold wind!  Peony Festival Committee volunteers were at the restaurant to pass out flyers so patrons knew to ask for their check to be assigned to the Peony Festival donation.  These fundraisers are important to the budget of the Peony Festival.  The Festival is a family friendly, mostly free entertainment weekend in Van Wert.
